Tales of Zale | STwebsite

In July of 2022 I was hired at Nørlum to explore and design characters for for a series pitch called 'Tales of Zale' by Sif Savery. To find out more check out Sif's Twitter.

First off, I did a bunch of brainstorm and style variations. We knew we wanted an anime look so ended up working further on something like that.

After getting an idea on where to go we explored and developed further on Zale's design with feedback and redlines from Sif.

Once we felt that a design had potential I started making poses and showing off the personality of the character. Still tried to figure out legs and tails and how they would look when sitting, running etc.

After a few tweaks and color attempts we finally got our design down for Zale!
